Home Decor Cravings

So, I haven’t posted for quite some time.  Been really busy with work and new projects.

Every once in a while, you need to take a step back, breathe, and add some newness, colour, and fresh ideas to your living spaces.  These images I found on Pinterest have really inspired me, and I cannot wait to start decorating!  Which ones do you like, love, loathe and feel inspired by?

Stair Art

Stair as art- designed by  Tétrarc Architects  at the School of Arts in Saint Herblain, France. The main hall has been kept to the simplest of designs to highlight this set of stairs connecting the three building levels. The stair has such a lovely sculptural organic appearance. Clean lines, met with a fantastic master piece! Love it!

The Obliteration Room

From Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama comes The Obliteration Room, part of an exhibit at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia.

The Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama

She built a large white room-like environment, complete with furniture, plants, lighting, and artwork that set the stage for what was to come. During the span of two weeks, kids went to town with thousands of multicolored dot stickers and turned the formerly white space into a bright collaboration.

Decor Inspiration

When seasons change, I tend to have this craving to change my lounge, dining room and bedroom decor.

I really like Damask, I found some really wonderful items from a store (omitting the name on purpose), however, the prices are absolutely insane.  So my project for the next 2 weeks is to look for very similar fabric, and make my own scatter cushions, curtains and faux fur throw.

My inspiration behind the changes:
